Contacting Your School Board
District 153 residents are encouraged to attend Board of Education meetings to present their views and concerns. By hearing from the public, the Board is able to make better-informed decisions.
When to Contact the School Board
The Board’s role is to establish policy and set goals and objectives for the entire district. The staff is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our schools and the district. Therefore, the best place to direct questions and concerns is to the individuals directly involved and responsible, usually your teacher and/or principal. Our teachers and principals are very good at resolving most problems quickly and productively.
If a concern remains, please contact the superintendent.
After you have exhausted those available resources, the Board is available to hear your concerns.
