The Physical Education Department Mission statement: All students will be trained in the process of becoming physically fit, active, and healthy for life.

2 days a week our students will be engaged in activities geared towards muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular fitness, agility, flexibility, and coordination. The other 3 days the students will be participating in sports related activities.

The bones, muscles, and stretches are an important part of our curriculum. The students will be tested 3 times during the year on the following:

7th Grade:
Students need to know the scientific names of the following bones and muscles. Bones: Clavicle, Sternum, Scapula, Humerus, Radius, Ulna, Vertebrae, Femur, Tibia, Fibula, Metacarpals, Metatarsals, and Patella. Muscles: Abs, Glutes, Biceps, Triceps, Hamstrings, Gastrocs, Pecs, Deltoids, Latissimus Dorsi, Gracilis and Quads. Stretches: Students will need to know how to stretch their Deltoid, Quads, Hamstrings, Biceps, Triceps, Gracilis, Pecs, Lats and Gastrocs.

8th Grade:

Stretches: Students will need to know how to stretch their Deltoid, Quads, Hamstrings, Biceps, Triceps, Gracilis, Pecs, Lats and Gastrocs.
