Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year! I am so excited that you will be a part of Room 17 this year!
About me… My name is Mrs. Martin, parents feel free to call me Shannon! This is my fifth year at Willow School, and I couldn’t be happier! I absolutely LOVE teaching Kindergarten!!! I've been married for 12 years to my husband, Mike. We live about 30 miles South, in Bourbonnais. We have two four-legged members in our "family", Liono and Cheetara (the Thundercats). They are large orange and white cats, who spend most of their time sleeping.
About Room 17… Our classroom is filled with fun and lots of learning. We spend a lot of time working on our Reading and Math Skills, but we also spend quite a bit of time singing and dancing! We have a frog theme in our classroom and I refer to my student’s as “Kinder-Hoppers”. Parents are always welcome, but be aware…your dancing shoes better be ready!
