General Music Patrick Rodden - 5/6  (Send e-mail)

General Music is a survey of music including theory, history, music writing, performing and anything else in between. Students will gain an understanding of music through multiple manipulatives. Students will learn visually, aurally and kinesthetically. Basically speaking...we will move, play instruments, listen to music and watch music examples through Youtube.com and any other means which may be relevant.

To begin most every day of the week, students will start class by studying one artist, composer, performer or performance. To supplement the lecture portion, students will listen to audio examples and watch videos related to the person we are studying.

After we study each artist, we will commence learning. I integrate all subjects in music to make learning relevant throughout the school day.

If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me! :)
