I've had wonderful year this year with all of your children and I can't believe how fast it's gone. Starting next week, Mr. Van will be in the classroom, as I'll be on my maternity leave. Here's what we have going on this week:
Math: We are going to finish up chapter 8 this week with a test on Thursday. We'll look at using a scale to determine distances on a map and in scale models of objects.
Science: We are continuing our geology unit this week. We'll look at igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. After returning from White Pines, students will be looking at Neuton's Law's of motion as we make our model rockets. .
Spelling: We are going to be working on Unit 17 this week.
LA: We are continuing to work on our narratives as we work on including sensory images in our stories. We have NWEA testing in LA on Monday
Reading: We are finishing up Weasel this week. We'll take a test on Thursday and a vocabulary quiz on Wednesday.
