The Pound News...
This week:February book reports are coming home on Monday. The genre is biography- famous african americans. This should be a person that they do not know a lot about. That makes it more of a learning experience than just reading additional text on a person they know a lot about: Examples: Martin Luther King, Jackie Robinson, etc.
We will be starting a new unit in Science: Electricity- this unit will allow a lot of hands on experience during our Science time.
DARE: This is our last week of Dare.
Dates to keep in mind: Six flags forms needs to be in not later than Feb.17th. The earlier the better. Feb Scholastic is due the last week of February.
**Book Selection for this months report is due Friday. Earlier the better too. Due Date is March 7th.
