Welcome to Second Grade in Room 45. My name is Patti Jo Boehm. This is my eighth year teaching and all eight have been at Willow School. I graduated from the University of Illinois in 1986 with a degree in Leisure Studies. Then in 2004 I returned to school at Lewis University to get a masters degree in elementary education so I could fulfill my dream to become a teacher.
I have lived in Homewood with my husband Doug for 21 years. Our three children were born and raised here and are products of School District 153.
In Room 45 we work very hard to build a safe, respectful classroom community where everyone is welcome. We have fun, learn a lot and nurture a special appreciation for books and reading.
I am also excited to be sharing my classroom with Jessica Mucha for the first half of the school year. Jessica is a student teacher from the University of Iowa. she will be with us until December 9th. She is also a product of School district 153.
